Parks Commission call for evidence
The Hammersmith & Fulham Parks Commission is a resident-led commission which is trying to develop a new vision for the parks, open spaces and cemeteries in the borough. It has issued an open call for evidence from the public to help draw up a new strategy “to help residents and visitors benefit more from our local parks.”
If you would like to have your say in this strategy then please email the Commission before 7 June.
The Friends are particularly concerned about the protection of the Scrubs as a “more wild than tamed” open space, and would favour increasing public awareness of its environmental value.
You may in your own personal submission widh to mention how important the Scrubs is a a peaceful open space and how this would be affected by major construction works, for example at Linford Christie Stadium.
The Commission’s remit may be read on the Council ‘s website - click the button below to go straight there.
We understand that photos are welcome - for example of plants, birds, etc, or simply to illustrate the beauty of the Scrubs.
