HS2 and the Scrubs

HS2 works are set to have a devastating impact on the Scrubs. Here are some photos from the “vegetation clearance” which has been taking place during February to March 2021.

 Weekend of 6-7 March. Incursions onto Scrubs by HS2 vehicles continues. LBHF have confirmed this is not permitted activity. Meanwhile the meadow is becoming more and more wrecked every day.

HS2 are using aggressive dogs on the site despite the fact that the Scrubs is used by dog walkers of all types.

Chat’s Paddock 3/3/21

These videos taken by FOWWS observers show the methods being used to clear the area, and protesters being dragged away.

Trees to the left of the fencing due to be felled over the next few days. This is the most undisturbed, precious part of Wormwood Scrubs. By next week it will be gone.
